WHEREAS,the arts and the humanities enhance and enrich the lives of all Americans;and
WHEREAS,the arts and humanities affect every aspect of life in America today includingtheeconomy,social problem-solving,education,creativity,and community Ilveablilty;and
WHEREAS,a coalition ot 42 national arts and humanities organizations representing over23,000 cultural organizations have formed the National Cultural Alliance to develop a multi-yearpublicawarenesscampaignintheavaiiabiiltyandImportanceofthehumanitiesandartstoallAmericans;and
WHEREAS,the month of October has been designated ‘National Arts and HumanitiesMonth”with the theme,The Arts and Humanities.There’s Something In it for You.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Town of EstesParkthatthemonthofOctober1994beproclaimedas
ESTES PARK ARTS AND HUMANITIES MONTH
and all citizens of our community are urged to support the arts and humanities throughparticipationinsponsoredprogramsandactivities.
