HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION OF RESPECT White, Greg 2019-07-09Office of the Mayor,Estes Park,Colorado RESOLUTION OF RESPECT WhEREAS,Greg White served the citizens of Estes Park as Attorney of the Town of Estes Park from 1980 to 2019;and WhEREAS,Greg served and advised Mayors Tregent,Dannels,Dekker,Baudek, Pinkham and Jirsa;45 Board of Trustees;and Town Administrators Kiaphake,Widmer, Repola,Halburut and Lancaster;and WHEREAS,during his tenure as Attorney,Greg facilitated the revision,approval, increase,establishment,improvement,and/or implementation of the following: .1982 and 2013 Flood Recovery Efforts and Flood Plain Regulations .Bonds for Electric &Water Enterprise Improvements .Collaboration with RMNP to establish Seasonal Shuttle Bus Service .Conservation ofKnoll-Willows Open Space .Construction ofDannels Fire Station .Construction ofEvent Center,Pavilion and Grandstand at Stanley Park .Construction ofVisitor Center and Parking Structure .Development and Completion of the Rivenvalk .Development ofBroadband Initiative .Development of Conference Center .Development ofDowntown Parking Management Plan .Development of Electric and Water Master Plans .Development of Estes Valley Trails Master Plan and construction of Lake Estes Hike/Bike Path Development of Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town of Estes Park and Larimer County for ajoint land use plan and adoption ofthe Estes Valley Development Code in 1999 .Development of the 1 996 Estes Valley Comprehensive Plan .Establishment ofthe Sister Cities program and a formal relationship with Monteverde,Costa Rica •Evolution of the Convention and Visitors Bureau •Fonnation of Estes Park Building Authority •Formation of Estes Park Housing Authority •Formation of Estes Park Urban Renewal Authority •Formation of Estes Valley Fire Protection District •Fonnation of Estes Valley Library District •Formation of Local Marketing District •Formation of Stanley Historic Master Plan •Instrumental in establishing and negotiating Town water rights •Re-adoption of Estes Park Municipal Code in 1997 •Successful passage of 1A Sales Tax Initiative supporting the construction of Estes Valley Community Center in 2014 Successful passage of Estes Park Measure 2A to Debruce in 2000 Support of Downtown Estes Loop Support of Downtown Plan NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,by this Resolution and Pu ecord,recognize the dedication and leadership of Greg White and express profo d apprec tion for his service to our community. /Todd Jirsa,Mayor
