RESOLUTION OF RESPECT
WHEREAS,Gerald Swank served the citizens of Estes Park
from 1991 to 2008 as an Estes Park Urban Renewal Authority
Commissioner,including acting as Vice-Chair from 1995 through 2005,
and Chairman from 2006 through June 2008;and
WHEREAS,during his tenure as an EPURA
Gerry facilitated the revision,approval,increase,
improvement,andlor implementation of the following:

Estes Park Conference Center
The Riverwalk
Elkhom Avenue Streetscape
Performance Park
Riverspointe
Wiest Plaza
Acquisition of the Knoll as Open Space
Knoll Willow Overlook
And a variety of other public improvements;and
Commissioner,
establishment,
WHEREAS,Gerry,a long-time resident and businessman has
also been active in the community as a member of the Estes Valley
Improvement Association,the Estes Park Merchants’Association,the
fine Arts Guild of the Rockies,and Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary;and
WHEREAS,Gerrp,as a member of the Longs Peak Chorus has
enriched and entertained our community by sharing his vocal talent and
love of barbershop music.

NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and
Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,by this Resolution and
Public Record,recognize the dedication and leadership of Gerald Swank
and express our profound appreciation for his service to our community.
