HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 151-54ORDINANCE NUMBER 151 ANNUAL APPIPRIATI0N ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL TEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1,1955 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31,1955 Be it Ordained By the Board of Trustees Of The Town of Estes Park,Colorado: Section 1.That out of the moneys and revenues to be derived from the collection of general taxes during the year 1955 and levied by the Board of Trustees of The Town of Estes Park,Colorado,on all taxable property within the corporate limits of said Town for the year 1955 in the total amount of Fourteen and Four—tenths (14.4)mills on each dollar of assessed valuation of said property,which collections are estimated at 4 37,43.OO,and from the moneys derived from the general and miscellaneous revenues during the year 1955,estimated at $60,325.00 making a total estimated amount to be derived from taxes,general and miscellaneous revenues and cash on hand,in the sum of $97,763.00, there is hereby appropriated for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1955,the following amounts for the following respective purposes,to—wit: General Government $6,375.00 Public Buildings &Parks 7,S50.00 Police &Fire Departments 33,200.00 Public Health 12,640.00 Street Department 34,600.00 Stanley Park 7,046,75 Advertising 460.00 Liquor License Return 1,91.25 Country Club &Golf Course 4,000.00 Contingent 300.00 Recreation Developments 5,500.00 Lake Estes 900.00 $94,763.00 Section 2.That out of the moneys and revenues to be derived from the operation of the Town of Estes Park Municipal Water System during the year 1955,estimated at $47,500.00 there is hereby appropriated the following amounts for the following purposes,to—wit: Salaries $,700.00 Maintenance 9,500.00 Office Expense 300.00 Rents 6,000.00 Vehicle Expense BO0.00 Debt Service 16,06.25 Miscellaneous 500.00 New Construction &Equi*nent 10,000.00 $51,S6.25 I • -: Section 3.That out of the moneys and.revenues to be derived. from the operation of the Town of Estes Park Municipal Light &Power Department during the year 1955,estimated,at 227,000.00 there is hereby appropri.ted.the following amounts for the following respective purposes,to—wit: Bonds &Interest 27,730.8 Payroll 63,000.00 Purchased.power 41,000.00 Materials &Supplies 42,000.00 Rents &Franchise tax l,,000.00 Insurance &Compensation L,300.O0 Office Expense 2,L00.0O Mministrative 2,400.00 Equipment 4,ooo.oo 205,830 .B9 Section 4.The Board of Trustees herewith finds,determines and. d.eclree that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preserv2tion of the public peace,health,and safety,and whereas in the opinion of the Board.of Trustees an emergency exists,and that this Ordinance shall twice effect and.be in force after its final passage and ad.option. BE IT ORDAINED FL THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO: Section 1,That a petition for annexation,together with four copies of a plat of the territory to be annexed.,as required. by law,was filed.with the Board.of Trustees of the Town of Estee Park on the eleventh lay of October,1954,which petition was executed.by four persons who are the owners of more than fifty per cent of the area o±the territory hereinafter described.,and.which persons also comprise a maJority of the 1and. owners residing in that territory at the time the petition was filed.with the Board.of Trustees;the Board.of Trustees at its regular meeting on the eleventh lay of October,1954,accepted. said.petition and caused.to be published.a notice as required.by law;that more than thirty days have elapsed.after the first publication of said.notice,and.no counter—petition has been filed..
