IT ORDAINED by the Board.of Trustees of the Town of Estee Park, Colorado,that Ordinance Number 168,passed and adopted.on the 11th day of Febrtiø.ry,1957 and being entitled An Odinance Zoning the Town of Estee Park,Colorado,and repealing Ordinances No.152,156,158 and 161 of the Town of Estee Park,Golorado*,be,and the same is hereby amended.to read as follows: Section Six,Acc•eory Uses,under the Ordinance ha11 read.as follows: 3*ction Jix,Accessory Uses: A use customarily incidental to a us•permitted in any ‘iitrict shall be permitted.in any district provided it is located on the earns lot. Home occupations engaged in b7 the occupants of a dwelling,not involving the conduct of a trade or business on the promises,shall be considered an ac sori use. The letting of roots and the providing of table board in a private dwelling shall be per”ütt•d as an aooesory use. A private garage shall be an aoceeory use. The 3tabll.ng,pasturing or keeping of hore shall not be an accessory use hereunder and is hereby forbidden. Signs:Narea of a sign means the space enclosed by the outer d.imeriions of a sign.Where a sign is painted on a wall,the area f the sign shall be computed by enclosing each letter and iriage of such sign vithin sets of parallel lines and taking the area thus enclosed. Permits Required.It shall be unlawful for any person,firm or corporation -to erect,oonntruct,(maintain)move,alter,change,repair, place,suspend,or cause the same to be done,any sign or advertising structure,without first obtaining from the Building Inspector,a -iritten permit so to do2 paying the fees prescribed therefor,and conforming to and complying with all the provisions of this Ordinance. A permit shall not be reanired for minor repairs,painting on a permitted sign,and,normal maintenance,providing,the area of the sign is not increased and the location of the sign is not changed.to any degree whatsoever.3aid permit ray at any time be rescinded by the 73u.]dfng Inspector or by the Town Board,should any of the provisions of this Ordinance be viclated.All applicants for a permit shall certify the consent and approval of the owner,lessee,or agent having charge of the property on which the sign in to be erected,maintained or attached.The permit fee for each rign shall be Two Dollars.Before issuing a permit,the uildIng Inspector shall determine that all Ordinnees and Regulations will be complied with and that no public hazard wi],l be created. All electric wiring to be used in connection with any sign shall be done by persons licensed to do electric Wiring within the Town,and in accordance with all Ordinances,rules and regulations relating to electric wiring within the Town.High potential neon gas signs must be of an approved type,using high power factor transformers,and each sign must be provided with an approved master switch located,at,on or near the sign and arraned to disconnect all ungrounded.wires supplying the sign transformers and accessable only to the authorized service man. No sign shall be supported in whole or in part from any street, sidewalk,parkway,public property,or required set—backs within the C—i Commerial ietrict.No sign within the Town shall extend into, above or beyond the curb line of any street or alley. No sign shall extend higher than twenty—four feet above the average grade of the ground surface of the premises immediately below.All signs erected at an angle to the building towhich it is attached,or to the street line,thail be a minimum of nine feet above the ground level, and shall not extend more than four feet over the sidewalk or required set—back line.No sign shall exceed sixty square feet in areas ezoept flat signs on the face or wall of a building,not extending more than twelve inches from the building.Signs on the face or wall of a building shall not exceed twenty—five per cent of the area.of the face or wall. The lettering and advertising matter on all signs within the Town except as heroin provided,shall selely deal with and clearly indicate the business done or servIces rendered upon such premises and none other. No sIgn shall be placed upon any vacant or unimproved property,except that it deal exclusively with the sale,lease or transfer of such vroperty. No rotating or moving signs shall be permitted.. No signs shall be permitted in the R—i Residence District except: Name plates not exceeding two square feet in area,indicating the name of the occutant;identification signs for churches,physicians,dentists, artist,musician,and the letting of rooms,not to exceed six aquare feet in area;one sign for each property or subdivision r•lating to the sale, lease or rental of said property,not to exceed twelve square feet In area. Nothing herein contained shall prevent the erection and maintenance of official traffic,fire and police signs,directional signs,signals, devices and markings made by and for,the State of Colorado or The Town of Estee Park.Nothing herein contained shall prevent the Town Board from granting a temporary,special,permit on such terms as it may deem proper for signs pertaining to a civic or patriotic special event of general public intereet.
