ORDINANCE 272
AN ORDINANCE ANDING SECTION )%.7 OF THE
M1INICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO,THE SAME PERTAINING TO ADOPTION
OF ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN
OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.That Section L.7 of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado be and the same is hereby
amended to read:
Li.7 Adoption of Ordinances.No ordinance shall be
passed finally on the date it is introduced,except in cases
of special emergency,for the preservation of public peace,
health or safety,and then only by the affirmative vote of
three-fourths of the members of the Board of Trustees.In
all other cases an ordinance shall be introduced and read at
one regular meeting of the Board,and if the ordinance is
passed on first reading,the ordinance shall be read by title
only and again voted upon at the next regular meeting of the
Board.If the ordinance receives the required vote on its
second reading,the same shall be duly adopted.
Section 2.The Board of Trustees herewith finds,
determines and designates that this ordinance is necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public peace,health
and safety,and whereas in the opinion of the Board of
Trustees an emergency exists,this ordinance shall take effect
and be in force five (5)days after its final passage,adoption
and publication.
