AN ORDINANCE AI’4ENDING CHAPTER 7 OF THE
IVIUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOW1 OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO,THE SAMB PERTAINING TO ELECTRIC
RATE SCHEDULES AND RULES AND REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWEN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.That Section 7.L-l Rate and Minimum be
and the same is hereby amended to read:
Rate:(net)
A minimum charge,per meter,per month,of..$1.25
which entitles the customer to use of 10 kwh
Next 30 kwh used per month,per kwh .065
Next 60 kwh used per month,per kwh .OL8
Next 200 kwh used per month,per kwh .025
Next LOO kwh used per month,per kwh .020
All additional kwh used per month,per kwh...015
(See regulations below for intermittent
winter service)
Minimum:
Net minimum charge per meter,per month 1.25
but not less per year than 12.00
Section 2.That Chapter 7 of the Municipal Code of
the Town of Estes Park,Colorado be and the same is amended
by adding thereto the following:
7.L-L Rate No.L.
LARGE COMBINED LIGHT AND POWER
Availability:
Throughout the Area served by the Town where
adequate distribution facilities exist.
Applicability:
Applicable to any customer using service through
out the year for lighting and/or power purposes
including refrigeration,heating and cooking for
loads requiring not less than 150 kva of trans
former capacity at one point of delivery.Not
applicable for resale.
Character of Service:
Service shall be 60 cycle three phase at the
available voltage of the distribution system.
Rate Per Month:
First 50 kwh use of billing demand,per kwh..$.03
Next 30 kwh use of billing demand,per kwh...02
All Excess kwh used per kwh 0175
Minimum Bill -Monthly:
Per kva of installed transformer capacity
but for not less than 150 kva 1.00
Terms:
The above rates are net,and are due and
payable within ten days from date of bill.
Contract Period:
The minimum contract period is 12 months
and is cancellable thereafter on 30 days’
written notice to Town.
Billing Demand:
The billing demand shall be the connected
capacity of transformers in kva required to
serve the load.In the event more than one
customer may be served from a single trans
former bank the Town shall determine the
required transformer capacity for each
customer.
Discounts:
Where delivery is metered at the primary
voltage and customer furnishes the trans
formers,a discount of l5 per kva of demand
shall be allowed.
Rules and Regulations:
The above provisions of this schedule are
subject to the definitions,terms and
conditions of the General and Power service
rules and regulations made a part hereof by
reference thereto.
Section 3.That Section 7.L-5 Rate be and the same
is hereby amended to read:
Rate:
For all energy used between meter readings
taken on or about May 20th to October 20th -
First 15 kwh used per month,per kwh $0.10
Next 85 kwh used per month,per kwh .075
Next 100 kwh used per month,per kwh .055
Next 800 kwh used per month,per kwh
Next 1500 kwh used per month,per kwh .035
Next 2500 kwh used per month,per kwh .025

Section 5.The Board of Trustees herewith finds,
determines and designates that this ordinance is necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public peace,health
and safety,and whereas in the opinion of the Board an
emergency exists,this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5)days after its final passage,adoption
and publication.
