AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6.28 OF THE
MtflICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWS OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO,THE SAME PERTAINING TO WATER RATES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN
OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.That Section 6.28 of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado be and the same is hereby
amended to read:
6.28 Schedule of Water Rates.All rates and charges
for water use shall be on an annual basis,for the period from
July 1st of each year to June 30th of the following year,and
there shall be no reduction in rates or charges or any rebates
thereof for use for less than the annual period;except the
rates charged consumers making new connections to the Townts
water system,which rates shall be prorated on the basis of
the number of months remaining in the rate year in which
the new connection is made.
Section 2.The Board of Trustees herewith finds,
determines and designates that this ordinance is necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public peace,health
and safety,and whereas in the opinion of the Board an
emergency exists,this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5)days after its final passage,adoption
and publication.
