AN ORDINANCE ANENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE MUNI
CIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO,
BY AIV1ENDING SECTION 8.5 AND BY ADDING SECTION
8.6 PERTAINING TO DEAD ANIMALS,AND SECTION 8.7
PERTAINING TO TOWN D!ThIP.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.That Section 8.5 of the Municipal Code
of the Toin of Estes Park,Colorado is amended by eliminating
the following:
Dead Animals.It shall be unlawful for any person
to bring into or carry through or allow to remain in the
Town of Estes Park any dead animal or decaying animal matter;
and any animal dying within the town shall be removed by the
owner or keeper thereof within twenty-four hours after its
death.
Section 2.That Chapter 8 of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado is amended by adding
thereto the following:
8.6 Dead Animals.It shall be unlawful for any

Section 3.That Chapter 8 of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado is amended by adding
thereto the following:
8.7 Town Dump.It shall be unlawful for any person
to deliver more than one load of refuse per day to the Town

Dump without obtaining prior approval from the Dump Manager.
Section L1.The Board of Trustees herewith finds,
determines and designates that this ordinance is necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety for the regulation of dead animals and the Town Dump
affect the public health and safety,and whereas in the
opinion of the Board of Trustees an emergency exists,this
ordinance shall take effect and be in force five ()days
after its final passage,adoption and publication.
