AN ORDINANCE REGULATING BUILDING IN THE
TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO.ADOPTING
BY REFERENCE THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE,
VOLUME I,1967 EDITION.AMENDING SECTION
11.1 AND REPEALING SECTION 11.3 OF THE
PIIJNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.That the Uniform Building Code,Volume I,
1967 Edition,issued by the International Conference of
Building Officials,O South Los Robles,Pasadena,California
91101,at least three (3)copies of which have been certified
as true copies by the Mayor and the Clerk of the Town of
Estes Park,Colorado and which are now on file in the office
of the Town Clerk,is hereby enacted and adopted by reference
and incorporated herein and made a part of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado as hereinafter provided.
The said Uniform Building Code is a complete code which
governs the construction,alteration,moving,demolition,
repair and use of any buildings and structures within the
Town of Estes Park,Colorado.Its purpose is to provide
minimum standards to safeguard life or limb,health,
property,and public welfare by regulating and controlling
the design,construction,quality of materials,use and
occupancy,location and maintenance of all buildings and
structures within the Town and certain equipment specifi
cally regulated therein.
Section 2.That Section 11.1 of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado be and the same is hereby
amended to read:

11.1 Uniform Building Code.No building shall be
hereafter constructed,erected,enlarged,altered or moved
into the Town unless the same shall,as to design,con
struction,quality of materials and workmanship,conform
with the Uniform Building Code,Volume I,1967 Edition,
issued by the International Conference of Building Officials,
%0 South Los Robles,Pasadena,California 91101,which said
Building Code is incorporated herein and adopted by reference
Section 3.That Section 11.3 of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado be and the same is hereby
repealed.
Section .The Board of Trustees herewith finds,
determines and designates that this ordinance is necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety,for the regulation of the construction,alteration,
moving,demolition,repair and use of buildings and structures
affects the public health and safety,and whereas in the
opinion of the Board of Trustees an emergency exists,this
ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (%)days
after its final passage,adoption and publication.
The above ordinance was passed on second reading
and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park,Colorado at its regular meeting on Monday,March 2%,
1968.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of
Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado did,on
February 26,1968,pass on first reading Ordinance No.
34]-,which enacts and adopts by reference the Uniform
Building Code.
The Uniform Building Code,Volume I,1967 Edition,
issued by the International Conference of Building Officials,
O South Los Robles,Pasadena,California 91101,is a complete
code covering all buildings and structures hereafter con
structed,erected,enlarged,altered or moved into the Town
of Estes Park.Its purpose is to provide minimum standards
to safeguard life or limb,health,property,and public
welfare by regulating and controlling the design,construction,
quality of materials,use and occupancy,location and main
tenance of all buildings and structures within the Town and
certain equipment specifically regulated therein.
Copies of the Uniform Building Code are on file
in the office of the Town Clerk and are open to public
inspection at that place.
PUBLIC NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Board of
Trustees has scheduled a public hearing on the question of
whether or not such code should be adopted,such hearing
to be held at 7:30 o’clock P.M.,on Monday,March 25,1968,
at the Town Hall in Estes Park,Colorado.Any and all persons
interested may appear at said time and place and present
their views concerning the adoption of said Code.
