ORDINANCE NO.356
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.28 OF TEE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTHS PARK,COLORADO,RELATING
TO LOUDSPEAKERS AND NOISE MAKING DEVICES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.That Section 17.28 of the Municipal Code of the
Town of Estes Park,Colorado be and the same is hereby amended to
read:
17.28 Use of Loudspeakers and Noise Making Devices Prohibited.
It shall be unlawful for any person to use any radio,loudspeaker,
musical instrument,or any noise making group or device within the
Town for the purpose of vending,advertising or soliciting the sale
of any merchandise or tickets of admission to any show or event,or
for the purpose of attracting attention to any signs or exhibits which
are displayed in connection therewith,except loudspeakers located and
used upon property owned or controlled by the Town and which are regu
lated or operated by the Town.Loudspeakers located upon property
owned or controlled by the Town shall be used only to advertise
activities,projects or events of public interest.
Section 2.The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park
herewith finds,determines and designates that this ordinance is
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,health
and safety for the control of loudspeakers and noise making devices
affects the public health and safety,and whereas in the opinion of the
Board of Trustees an emergency exists,this ordinance shall take effect
and be in force five (5)days after its final passage,adoption and
publication.
