AN ORDINANCE AMEThIDING SECTION 5.1 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO,RELATING TO THE DUTIES OF THE
MAYOR AND THE SIGNATURE OF THE MAYOR ON
WARRANTS OR OTHER INSTRUIVfENTS OF PAYMENT
DRAVN UPON THE TREASURER OF THE TOWN AND
ON PUBLIC SECURITIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN
OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.That Section 5.1 of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,is amended by adding
thereto the following:
5.1-5 Duty to Sign Warrants or Other Instruments
of Payment and Public Securities —Facsimile Signature.All
warrants or other instruments of payment drawn.upon the Town
Treasurer,and all public securities,shall be signed by the
Mayor.The Mayor may execute,or cause to be executed,all
such warrants or other instruments of payment,and public
securities,with a facsimile signature in lieu of his manual
signature upon his compliance with the Statutes of the State
of Colorado pertaining to facsimile signatures.
Section 2.The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park,Colorado,herewith finds,determines and designates that
this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public peace,health and safety,for the signing of
warrants or other instruments of payment,and public
securities,affects the public peace,health and safety,and
whereas in the opinion of the Board of Trustees an amergency
exists,this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
five (5)days after its final passage,adoption and publication.
