AN ORDINANCE MAKING THE USE OF SKATEBOARDS UPON PUBLIC
SIDEWALKS OR STREETS WITHIN THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO,UNLAWFUL AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES
PARK,COLORADO:
There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the Town of
Estes Park,Colorado Chapter 9.34.
SKATEBOARDS,as follois;
Section 1.9.34.010 Definition.As used in this chapter,“skate
board’means a device propelled by human power upon which any person may
ride and which is composed of one or more wheels none of which exceed four
inches in diameter,and upon which is mounted a flat board or surface
designed to carry one or more persons.
Section 2.9.34.020 Prohibited.It is unlawful for any person
parking lot,to operate a skateboard upon any public sidewalk,Astreet or alley within the
Town of Estes Park,Colorado.
Section 3.The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,
Colorado,herewith finds,determines and designates that this ordinance is
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,health and
safety;and whereas,in the opinion of the Board of Trustees,an emergency
exists,this ordinance shall take effect and be in force (5)days after its
final passage,adoption,approval and signature of the mayor,and publication.
