AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.05.040 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO,RELATING TO
PROPERTY TAX REFUND TO ELDERLY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO:
Section 1.Section 3.05.040(2)of the Municipal Code of the Town
of Estes Park,Colorado is amended to read as follows:
2.If the applicant rented the dwelling unit or portion thereof,in
which he or she lived during all or part of the calendar year precedinQ the year
in which the application is submitted,the town shall refund to the applicant a
percentage of the rental payment made by such applicant during the preceding
year,with said percentage to be determined by resolution of the Board of Trustees
each year.
Section 2.The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,
herewith finds,determines and designates that this ordinance is necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public peace,health and safety,for the regu
lation of property taxation affects the public peace,health and safety;and
whereas,in the opinion of the Board of Trustees,an emeroency exists,this
ordinance shall take effect and be in force after its final passage,adoption
and approval and signature of the mayor.
