AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 3.04.020 AND 3.04.040
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO,RELATING TO BUDGET AND ANNUAL APPROPRIATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO:
Section 1.Section 3.04.020 of the Municipal Code of the Town of
Estes Park,Colorado,is amended to read as follows:
3.04.020 Budget.The Board of Trustees shall adopt,by resolution,
an annual budget for each fiscal year in accordance with the procedures set
forth in The Local Government Budget Law of Colorado.
Section 2.Section 3.04.040 of the Municipal Code of the Town of
Estes Park,Colorado is amended to read as follows:
3.04.040 Annual appropriation.The Board of Trustees shall pass
a resolution within the last quarter of each fiscal year,to be termed the
annual appropriation resolution for the next fiscal year.In such resolution
such sums of money as are necessary to cover the items in its budget and to
defray all necessary expenses and liabilities of the town,specifying the
objects and purposes for which such appropriations are made and the amount
appropriated for each object or purpose.The total amount appropriated shall
not exceed the probable amount of revenue that will be collected during the
fiscal year.
Section 3.This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
days after its final passage,adoption,approval and signature of the mayor,
and publication.
