Minutes of a _speeia1_meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park,Larimer County,Colorado.Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of
3:30 p.m.
Estes Park on the___4th___day of___August ,A.D.196O at regular
meeting hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence-,k.Gra.v-es
Present:Mayor Clarence A.Graves Trustees:Ronald Brodie,John Ramey,
Henry Dannels,Andy Jones,
Wiiliam Grove,Dick Snart.
Also Present:Verne H.Fanton,Town Clerk;Richard Townsend,representing
State Board of Health;Kirk Scliaffer,representing State
Board of Health;George Gorers,representing Federal Food
and Drug Administration;Leroy Gomez,representing Federal
Food and Drug Administration;George Lanert,representing
Larimer County Health Department;Art Gerhardt,representing
Larimer County Health Department;H.F.Miller,Town
Attorney;Jack Coffee,Town Building Inspector.
This special meeting called by Mayor Clarence Graves as a result of the investiga
tion being conducted at the moment by Federal,State and County Health authorities
of the restaurant operated by Frank A.Runz,dba Alpine Restaurant and Cafeteria.
The representatives present related to the Council their past and present inspec
tions and experiences relating to the operation of the Alpine Restaurant.In
accordance with the testimony presented at this meeting,it appearing at this time
that the business was an offensive and unwholesome establishment,and upon the
recommendation of the Town Health Officer,Dr.J.0.Mall,Trustee Andy Jones
moved that the license and permission toqerate the Alpine Restaurant be suspended
at once and to remain suspended until the State,Federal and County officials com
plete their investigations and food analysis made and the results 1hereof furnished
to the Town Health Officer and until the Town Health Officer and the Town Building
Inspector approves the application to open and operate the business.Trustee
Ramey seconded the motion.The above action being taken by the Town Board,acting
as the Town Board of Health and under Ordinance #23 of the Town of Estes Park.
Said motion passed and said action approved by the following vote:those voting
11yes”,Trustees,Brodie,Ramey,Dannels,Jones,Grove,Snart;those voting Itnoll,
none.Whereupon,Mayor Graves declared said order passed and said action approved.
There being no further business,it was regularly moved,seconded and carried that
the meeting adjourn.
