RESOLUTION 1-90
A RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF THE CULTURAL ARTS
COUNCIL OF ESTES PARK
WHEREAS,the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park is or
ganized as a non—profit corporation for the purpose of promoting
the visual and performing arts,and other cultural activities in
the Estes Park area;and
WHEREAS,the Town of Estes Park recognizes the educational,
cultural,and economic importance of encouraging the promotion
and development of the arts;and
WHEREAS,the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park is a
service agency,with primary emphasis on existing local art
organizations.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of
the Town of Estes Park,Colorado:
1.The Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park shall be
recognized as the appropriate organization to direct
the development and activities of the arts in Estes
Park in the following areas:
A.Provide,through leadership,the planning,spon
sorship,and coordination of the area’s cultural
activities.
B.Coordinate and develop funding recruests and
special programs.
C.Enhance the quality and accessibility of the arts
in the Estes Park area,thus creating a positive
impact on the local economy.
2.In consideration of the foregoing,the Town of Estes
Park shall contribute $7,000.00 during the calendar
year 1990,to be made on or about January 31,1990.
3.The Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park shall submit a
progress report to the Town of Estes Park on or before
January 31,1991.
