AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 13.l2.020C,
l3.12.030C and F,13.12.040C,13.12.050C,
l3.l2.060C and F,13.12.070C,and l3.l2.080B
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES
PARK,COLORADO,RELATING TO LIGHT AND POWER
RATE SCHEDULES CONTAINING CHARGES FOR
ELECTRIC POWER AND ENERGY PROVIDED BY THE
LIGHT AND POWER DEPARTMENT OF THE TOWN OF
ESTES PARK,COLORADO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.Sections 13.l2.020C,l2.l3.030C and F,
13.l2.040C,13.12.050C,13.l2.060C and F,13.12.070C,and
13.l2.080B of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park,
Colorado are amended to read as follows:
13.12.020C.Rate.
Customer Charge:$2.00 per month
Energy Charge:All Kwh used per month,per
Kwh $0.06358
Minimum:Net minimum charge per meter
per month $2.00
13.12.030C.Rate.
Customer Charge:$2.00 per month
Demand Charge:$4.80 per KW of billing demand
Energy Charge:All Kwh per month,per
Kwh $0.03314
Monthly Minimum:$2.00 plus $4.80 times the
Monthly Minimum Billing Demand
13.l2.030F.Determination of Billing Demand.The
billing demand shall be determined by suitable meter
measurement of the highest fifteen—minute integrated
demand occurring during the monthly billing period,
but shall not be less than the Monthly Minimum
Billing Demand.The Monthly Minimum Billing Demand
shall be 60%of the highest demand established in the
past twelve-month (12)period ending with the current
month.
13.12.040C.Rate.

Monthly Minimum:$9.00 times the Monthly Minimum
Billing Demand or $50,whichever is greater
l3.l2.060F.Determination of Billing Demand.The
billing demand shall be determined by suitable meter
measurement of the highest fifteen—minute integrated
demand occurring during the monthly billing period,but
shall not be less than the Monthly Minimum Billing Demand.
The Monthly Minimum Billing Demand shall be 60%of the
highest demand established during the immediately pre—
ceeding months of November through March.The consumer
shall be required to properly balance his loads.
l3.12.070C.Rate.
All Kwh used per month,per Kwh $O.06184
13.l2.OBOB.Rider.To the rates for electric power
and energy referred to in subsection 13.12.080 A,
there shall be added a purchase power rider of $0.0
per Kwh.The purchase power rider shall be applied
by multiplying the Kwh consumption of each customer
in the billing period by $0.0 per Kwh.
Section 2.Except as herein specifically amended,
Title 13 and all ordinances or parts of ordinances of the
Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park relative to the
Light and Power Department shall be and hereby are desig
nated to remain in full force and effect and are hereby
ratified,confirmed and approved.

Section 3.The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park,Colorado,herewith finds,determines and designates
that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public peace,health and safety,for reliable electric
service affects the public peace,health and safety;and
the change in electric rates authorized herein is necessary
to maintain reliable electric service and preserve the financial
and operating integrity of the municipal electric system;and
whereas,in the opinion of the Board of Trustees,an emergency
exists,this Ordinance shall take effect and be applied to
billing statements for electric service mailed or delivered
to customers on and after August 20,1982,and after its
final passage,adoption and the signature of the Mayor.
