ORDINANCE NO.8-81
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF
ESTES PARE,COLORADO,THE SAME PERTAINING
TO SIGN CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.That Section 17.66.290 of the Municipal
Code of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,is amended by
adding thereto Subsection E to read as follows:
E.Exceptions.Signs for churches,nursing homes,and hospitals shall be allowed to conform to the requirementsoftheR-2 use district set forth in the Schedule of
Requirements,regardless of the use district within which
the particular church,nursing home,or hospital is located.
Section 2.The Board of Trustees of the Town of
Estes Park,Colorado,herewith finds,determines and designates
that this Ordinance is necessary for their immediate preserva
tion of the public peace,health and safety,in order to
provide for exceptions to the sign code;and whereas,in the
opinion of the Board of Trustees,an emergency exists,this
Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
after its passage,adoption and signature of the Mayor.

I hereby certify that the above ordinance was introduced
and read at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees on
the 26th day of May ,1981,and published in a
newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Estes Park,
Colorado,on the 29tMay of May ,1981,all as
required by the Statutes of the State of Colorado.
