Minutes of a regula meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Pork,Lorimer County,Colorado.Meeting held in the Town Holl in said Town of Estes Park on the Mt day of y A.D.19.8.4.at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor .qrP.erd..Dannels Present:Mayor II.B.Dannels Trustees:Norbert L.Aldrich,Mark T.Brown,Byron L.Graves, George J.lix,Paula L. Laing,Richard A.Wood Also Present:Town Administrator Dale G.Hill Town Attorney Gregory A.WhiteAbsent: Norbert L.Aldrich Mayor H.Bernerd Dannels presented a “Plaque of Appreciation”to Robert E.Wagner for 12 years of service to the Town.Mayor Dannels also presented a “Plaque of Appreciation”to Margaret Houston for 8 years of service. Minutes of the regular meeting held April 24,1984,were submit ted and approved. Trustee George J.Hix moved the bills as presented be allowed and paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for the same. (A certified copy of the bills presented and allowed are on file in the Of fice of the Town Clerk under this date,and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.) Trustee Richard A.Wood seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes:Those voting “Yes”Trustees Mark T.Brown, Byron L.Graves,George J.Hix,Paula L.Laing and Richard A. Wood.Those voting “No”,none. Trustee George J.lix,Chairman of the Administrative Committee, read the minutes of a meeting held on April 25,1984,and moved the minutes be approved.Trustee Byron L.Graves seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Trustee Byron L.Graves,Chairman of the Light and Power Commit tee,read the minutes of a meeting held April 25,1984,and moved the minutes be approved.Trustee Mark T.Brown seconded the motion.After further investigation,the Light and Power Department has decided purchasing the Unimog would not be cost—effective. Trustee Paula L.Laing,Chairman of the Public Safety Committee, read the minutes of a meeting held April 26,1984,and moved the minutes be approved.Trustee Byron L.Graves seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Trustee Richard A.Wood,Chairman of the Stanley Park Committee, read the minutes of a meeting held May 7,1984,and moved the minutes be approved.Trustee George J.Hix seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. William G.Van Horn of Van Horn Engineering requested Prospect Mountain Subdivision,a P.U.D.,Third Filing,be continued until May 22,1984.Trustee Richard A.Wood moved the request for a continuation on this subdivision be approved.Trustee Mark T. Brown seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Trustee George J.Hix moved the following liquor license renewals be approved:Alpine Pharmacy,Other Side Restaurant,National Park Village South,Holiday Inn of Estes Park,Estes Park Health Club,the Lions Club of Estes Park,and W.C.Copperfields. Trustee Richard A.Wood moved the following resolution be passed and adopted: B E S 0 L U T I 0 N 20-84 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO: That the filing date of the application for a Hotel and Restaurant License filed by Snowdance Properties,Inc.dba The Old Church Restaurant to be located at 157 West Elkhorn Avenue, Estes Park,Colorado,is May 8,1984,and it is hereby ordered that a public hearing on said application shall be held in the Board Room of the Municipal Building,170 MacGregor Avenue,on June 12,1984,at 7:30 P.M.,and that the hearing shall be the area included within a radius of 2.78 miles as measured from the center of the applicant’s property. Mr.Steve Crawford appeared on behalf of the Coors Classic Bicycle Classic and presented a pamphlet to the Council.This year will mark the 10th Anniversary of the bicycle classic and will include 36 Olympic teams;this will be the last training event prior to the summer Olympics.Mr.Crawford will be back at a later date with more information. The Estes Park Women’s Club and Estes Park Horseshow and Rodeo Committee requested the use of Bond Park July 18th and 20th,1984 for a Barbeque Lunch,Book and Bake Sale.The barbeque will be catered with events to include western music.Trustee Mark T. Brown moved the request he approved.Trustee George J.Hix seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Mr.Jack Rumley of the Estes Park Volunteer Fire Department and Rox Ann West requested the use of Bond Park September 1st and 2nd,1984 for a fund raising Craft Show for Muscular Dystrophy. Trustee Paula L.Laing moved the request be approved.Trustee Mark T.Brown seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The Fine Arts Guild of the Rockies requested use of Bond Park July 21st and 22,1984 for the Western Arts Show.Trustee Richard A.Wood moved the request be approved.Trustee Mark T. Brown seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Trustee George J.Hix introduced,and the Town Administrator read in full,the following entitled ordinance and moved it be passed and adopted on first and final reading: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO,THE SAME PERTAINING TO PUBLIC UTILITIES Trustee Byron L.Graves seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes:Those voting “Yes”Trustees Mark T.Brown, Byron L.Graves,George J.Hix,Paula L.Laing and Richard A. Wood.Those voting “No”none,Whereupon Mayor Dannels declared said ordinance duly passed and adopted and ordered it numbered #17-84 and published according to law. Mayor H.Bernerd Dannels appointed Richard A.Wood as liaison to the Horse Show and Rodeo Committee and appointed Paula L.Laing to the Larimer—Weld Council of Governments 208 Committee. Trustee George J.Hix moved the appointments made by Mayor Dannels be approved by the Board of Trustees.Trustee Byron L. Graves seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
