ORDINANCE NO.7-85
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO,THE SAME PERTAINING TO BUILDINGS
AND CONSTRUCTION INCLUDING THE ADOPTION OF
THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE,1984 EDITION
WHEREAS,on the 16th day of September ,1985,the
Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park held a public
hearing on the adoption of the 1984 edition of the National
Electrical Code;and
WHEREAS,notice of said hearing was published as provided
in Section 31—16—203,C.R.S.1973;and
WHEREAS,prior to the adoption of the National Electrical
Code,1984 edition,by reference,copies of said Code were
submitted to the Board of Trustees of the Town of Fstes Park.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN
OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.That Section 14.20.010 of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,shall be amended to read
as follows:
14.20.010 National Electrical Code,1984——Adopted.The
1984 Edition of the National Electrical Code (NFPA No.70—1984)
adopted by the National Fire Protection Association,on May 19,
1983,in Kansas City,Missouri,is enacted,adopted by reference
as a primary code and incorporated in this chapter as if set
out in length.
Section 2.The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park,Colorado,herewith finds,determines and designates that
this Ordinance is necessary for their immediate preservation
of the public peace,health and safety,in order to provide for
uniform building and construction codes;and whereas,in the
opinion of the Board of Trustees,an emergency exists,this
Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately after
its passage,adoption and signature of the Mayor.
