Also Present:Town Administrator Dannels
and Clerk-Dale 6.Hill
Absenh None
Minutes of the regular meeting held October 18,1977 and the
special meeting held October 21,1977 were read and approved as
read.
Trustee Robert E.Wagner moved the following bills be allowed
and paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for the
same.(A certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on
file in the office of the Town Clerk,under this date and made
a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.)
Trustee Dannels seconded the motion.The motion passed by the
following votes:Those voting ‘Yes’1 Trustees Margaret Houston,
Robert E.Burgess,H.Bernerd Dannels,N.T.Petrocine,Rollen
Sutter.Those voting ‘No”none.
Trustee H.Bernerd Dannels,Chairman of the Public Works Committee,
read the minutes of a meeting held October 20,1977 and moved the
minutes be approved.Trustee Sutter seconded the motion and it
passed unanimously.
Trustee N.T.Petrocine,Chairman of the Light &Power Committee,
read the minutes of a meeting held November 3,1977 and moved the
minutes be approved.Trustee Wagner seconded the motion.The
motion carried unanimously.
Dale 6.Hill,Town Administrator and Clerk,read the minutes of
the Firemen’s Pension Board meeting held October 20,1977.
Trustee H.Bernerd Dannels introduced and the Clerk read the fol
lowing entitled ordinance and Trustee Dannels moved the ordinance
be passed on second and final reading:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTERS 17.24 AND
17.32 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN
OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO,RELATING TO THE
REZONING OF A PORTION OF LOTS 15,16,AND
19,IN BLOCK 10,TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO.
Trustee Wagner seconded the motion.The motion passed by the
following votes:Those voting “Yes”Trustees N.T.Petrocine,
H.Bernerd Dannels,Robert E.Wagner,Rollen Sutter,Margaret
Houston,Robert E.Burgess.Those voting “No”none.Whereupon
Mayor harry B.Tregent declared said ordinance duly passed and
adopted and ordered it numbered 22—77 and published according
to law.
George Booth and Mr.Stremel submitted a petition to vacate a
portion of the original platting of the road right—of—way and
lots in Elkhorn Estates and to dedicate a new road right—of—way.
Paul Van Horn,representing Mr.Booth and Mr.Stremel,explained
that the vacation would result in two tracts and the new road

right—of—way would be increased to 60 feet.Trustee Dannels
moved the petition be granted and that the Town Attorney be
directed to draw the appropriate ordinance.Trustee Wagner
seconded the motion.The motion passed unanimously.
A request was submitted by the Inn at Estes Park to change
managers in regard to its Hotel/Restaurant liquor license.
A police report from Chief Ault concerning the new manager,
John Karkheck,was also submitted to the Board.Trustee
Robert E.Wagner moved the change of managers be approved.
Trustee Sutter seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Trustee Robert E.Wagner moved the following liquor license
renewal applications be approved:

Edwards dba Continental Lounge in the Alley Mall
Estes Park Inns,Inc.dba holiday Inn of Estes Park

Trustee Houston seconded the motion.The motion unanimously
carried.
Mr.Cy Wood appeared before the Board of Trustees discussing
solar energy and its importance as an energy source and also
emphasized the need to establish light and power rates which
encourage conservation.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
