Trustee Henry P.flannels moved the following bills be allowed and paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same.(A Certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.)Trustee Glenn Prosser seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.Those voting “Yes” Trustees Henry 0.Dannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn Prosser,Marvin L. Steele,Harry B.Tregent.Those voting “No”none. Mr.Robert Akins,owner of the Coffee Bar Cafe,appeared before the Board of Trustees and requested permission to remodel his building. This building extends into the street approximately six inches at its southeast corner. Trustee Harry B.Tregent introduced the following resolution and moved it be passed and adopted: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COW RADO: That the Town Clerk issue a street air space permit to Mr.Robert Akins as per the letter dated September 30,1971 from Excellart Adver tising Corporation. Trustee Marvin L.Steele seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.Those voting ‘Yes”Trustees Henry D. Dannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn Prosser,Marvin I.Steele,Harry B. Tregent.Those voting “No”none. Trustee N.T.Petrocine introduced and the Town Clerk read in full,the following entitled ordinance and Trustee Petrocine moved it be passed on second and final reading:- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18.9 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO,RELATING TO DOG KENNELS. Trustee Glenn Prosser seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.Those voting “Yes”Trustees Henry P. Dannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn Prosser,Marvin L.Steele,Harry B. Nagi dba The Wheel,132 E.Elkhorn Avenue,Estes Park,Colorado,be approved.Trustee Harry B.Tregent seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. The Board of Trustees instructed the Chief of Police to write Mr.Nagi a letter urging his cooperation in observing the closing hours as per state law. Trustee N.T.Petrocine moved that the liquor store license renewal for E.R.Smith dba The Estes Park Liquor Store,165 E.Elkhorn Avenue,Estes Park,Colorado,be approved.Trustee Henry IL flannels seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Trustee Glenn Prosser introduced and the Town Cleric read in full,the following entitled ordinance and Trustee Prosser moved it be passed on first and final reading: AN ORDINANCE TO LEASE-OnION CERTAIN lAND FOR GOVERNMENTAL OR PROPRIETARY PURPOSES AND PRE SCRIBING THE TERMS RELATING TO EXPENSES OF SAID LAND AND OPERATION OF SAID LAND AND AUTHO RIZATION TO ENTER INTO SAID LEASE-PURCIIASE. Trustee N.T.Petrocine seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.Those voting “Yes”Trustees Henry D. Dannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn Prosser,Marvin L.Steele,Harry B. Mayor Brodie proceeded to conduct a publió hearing regarding the 1972 Town of Estes Park budget.There were no persons present to speak in favor of or in opposition to the budget.Mayor Brodie declared the hearing closed. Meeting called to order by Mayor Present:Mayor Also Present: Absent: Trustees: Trustee Henry D.flannels,Chairman of the Water Committee,reported on a meeting as itemized in the minutes of October 4,1971,and moved that the minutes be approved and adopted.Trustee Glenn Prosser seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Mr.Gerald F.Brownfield,Chairman of the Estes Park Horse Show and Rodeo Committee,submitted a letter and report dated October 7,1971, for the current years operaticu at Stanley Park.Trustee Glenn Prosser moved the report be accepted.Trustee Marvin L.Steele seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.Mayor Brodie will write a letter of appreciation to the Estes Park Horse Show and Rodeo Conunittee. The Board of Trustees discussed the state highway program for the year July 1972 through June 1973.The following recomendations are to be made: U.S.Highway 34 -additional three laning U.S.Highway 36 -additional three laning Elkhorn Avenue —replace asphalt surfacing Mayor Brodie announced that the scheduled meeting for October 25,1971, will be delayed to October 28,1971 due to a conflict of dates.
