Minutes of a ..çg4qr meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park,Larimer County,Colorado.Meeting held in the Town Hall in soid Town of Estes Park
on the ..PJP....day of A•q9t A.IX 19,7.2.at regular meeting
hour.
Meeting called tD order by Mayor .P.S.
Present:MoyorRonald C.Brodie Trustees:Gerald H.Brownfield,Henry D.
flannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn
Prosser,Harry B.Tregent
Also Present:Town Administrator &Clerk Dale U.Hill
Absent:Marvin L.Steele
Minutes of the regular meeting held July 27,1970,were read and approved
as read.
Trustee Henry D.flannels moved the following bills be allowed and paid
and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same.(A Certified
copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town
Clerk under this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings
by reference thereto.)Trustee Gerald H.Brownfield seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.Those voting
“Yes”Trustees Gerald H.Brownfield,Henry D.flannels,N.T.Petrocine,
Glenn Prosser,Harry B.Tregent.Those voting “No”none.
Trustee Harry B.Tregent,Chairman of the Light and Power Conunittee,re
ported on a Light and Power Conunittee meeting as itemized in the minutes
of August 3,1970,and moved that the minutes be accepted.Trustee N.T.
Petrocine seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously
carried.
Trustee Harry B.Tregent introduced the following ordinance and moved it
be passed on first and final reading:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 14.14-4,9,10,11,12,
13,17,19 AND 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF
ESTES PARK,COLORADO,RELATING TO AUTHORIZING THE
GRANTING OF A REVOCABLE PERMIT TO OPERATE WITHIN THE
TOWN OF ESTES PARK A SYSTEM FOR RECEPTION AND DISTRI
BUTION OF PICTURES AND SOUNDS BY CABLE,SOMETIMES
KNOWN As COMMUNITY ANTENNA TELEVISION,AND PROVIDING
CONDITIONS AND REGUlATIONS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.
Trustee N.T.Petrocine seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion
passed by the following votes.Those voting “Yes”Gerald H.Brownfield,
Henry D.flannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn Prosser,Harry B.Tregent.Those
voting “No”none.Whereupon Mayor Ronald C.Brodie declared said ordinance
duly passed and adopted and ordered it numbered 14-70 and published accord
ing to law.
Mrs.Eleanor Chapman appeared before the Board,representing the Estes Park
Hospital Board,to inform the council on the plans and goals for the new
hospital.Mrs.Chapman also discussed the need for another resident
physician.
Trustee Henry D.flannels,Chairman of the Water Conunittee,reported on a
Water Conunittee meeting as itemized in the minutes of August 3,1970,
and moved the minutes be accepted.Trustee Glenn Prosser seconded the
motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.

Trustee Glenn Prosser introduced the following resolution and moved it
be passed and adopted:
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COlORADO:
That the Town Administrator be appointed to prepare the budget for
1971.
Trustee Gerald H.Brownfield seconded the motion.Upon roll call the
motion passed by the following votes.Those voting “Yes”Trustees
Gerald H.Brownfield,Henry D.Dannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn Prosser,
Harry B.Tregent.Those voting “No”none.
The Board proceeded to open bids for the disposal of the 1954 chevrolet
%ton pickup.The bids were opened and recorded as follows:
Tyson Motors $112.50
Joel W.Horton 66.25
Trustee Harry B.Tregent moved the high bid submitted by Tyson Motors
in the amount of $112.50 be accepted.Trustee N.T.Petrocine seconded
the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
A letter,dated August 7,1970,from the Reverend Fred F.King concern
ing parades was read to the Board of Trustees.Mayor Brodie directed
the subject of parades to be discussed at some future work session of
the Board of Trustees.
Mayor Brodie announced he had received a letter from Mrs.Elmer A.
Olander submitting her resignation as a member of the Estes Park Library
Board.The Library Board will submit a recommendation to the Board of
Trustees to fill the above vacancy.
There being no further business,it was regularly moved,seconded and
carried that the meeting adjourn.
