Park,Larimer County,Colorado.Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park

Also Present:Town Administrator &Clerk Dale C.Hill
Absent:Marvin L.Steele
Minutes of the regular meeting held August 10,1970 were read and approved
as read.
The proposed CATV permit to be issued to the Estes Park CAW,Inc.was
read in full to the Board of Trustees.Trustee Harry B.Tregent introduced
the following resolution and moved it be passed and adopted:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS,Section 14.14 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes
Park,Colorado authorizes the Board of Trustees to grant a non-exclusive
revocable permit to install,operate and maintain a community antenna
television system within all or any portion of the Town of Estes Park;
and
WHEREAS,Estes Park C A T V,Inc.,a Colorado Corporation,has
petitioned the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado
for such a permit under and in accordance with the provisions of said
Section 14.14;and
WHEREAS,the said Board of Trustees has considered said petition
and is of the opinion that it will be in the best interests of the
residents of the Town of Estes Park that the said petition be accepted
and that the aforementioned permit be granted;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
That the petition of Estes Park C A T V,Inc.,for a permit,under
the provisions of Section 14.14 of the Municipal Code of the Town of
Estes Park,be granted for a term of ten (10)years in accordance to
the provisions of the permit attached hereto and made a part hereof by
thie reference:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to issue to Estes Park C A T V.Inc.such a
permit upon its compliance with all of the provisions of said Section
14.14.
Trustee Gerald H.Brownfield seconded the motion.Upon roll call the
motion passed by the following votes.Those voting ‘Yes”Trustees
Gerald H.Brownfield,Henry D.Dannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn Prosser,
Harry B.Tregent.iThose voting “No”none.
Mr.Alan R.Harmon,Executive Vice President of Daniels and Associates,
Inc.thanked the Board of Trustees for their cooperation in authorizing
the issuance of the TV permit.Mr.Harmon also introduced Mr.Dan C.
Forbess who will be resident manager of the Estes Park C A T V,Inc.

As required by state law,the Town Administrator presented a financial
statement of the Policemens Pension Fund as of August 20,1970.Trustee
N.T.Petrocine moved this report be approved and accepted.Trustee
Henry D.flannels seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unan
imously carried.
The Board of Trustees reviewed the financial statement of the Firemens
Pension Fund as of August 20,1970.
Trustee Glenn Prosser,Chairman of the Advertising and Public Relations
Committee,reported on Advertising and Public Relations Committee meet
ings as itemized in the minutes of August 11 and 24,1970,and moved the
minutes be accepted.Trustee N.T.Petrocine seconded the motion.Upon
roll call the motion unanimously carried.
The minutes of the Estes Park Planning Coumiission,dated August 18,1970,
were read to the Board of Trustees.
Mr.Vic Walker and Mr.Adam Koch appeared before the Board of Trustees
and discussed variances that will be required for the remodeling of
Mr.Walker’s building on Elkhorn Avenue.Mr.George L.Nowery,Building
Inspector,explained to the Board of Trustees the requirements of the
Building Code.Mr.Walker will submit his request for variances in
writing to the Board of Trustees.Mr.Mowery,Building Inspector,will
also advise the Board of Trustees in writing as to the specific variances
needed.
A letter dated August 3,1970 from Mrs.Grace Olander in which she sub
mitted her resignation as a member of the Estes Park Library Board was
read to the Board of Trustees.Trustee Gerald H.Brownfield moved the
resignation be accepted.Trustee Henry B.flannels seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
A letter dated August 12,1970 from the President of the Estes Park
Library Board was read to the Board of Trustees.This letter contained
the Library Board’s recommendation that Mrs.Darwin Staley be appointed
to complete the unfinished term of Mrs.Olander.Trustee Glenn Prosser
moved that Mrs.Darwin Staley be appointed as a member of the Estes Park
Library Board to complete the unexpired term of Mrs.Olander.Trustee
Henry D.flannels seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unan
imously carried.L
A letter dated August 21,1970 from Mr.Frank E.Starkey,counsel for
Park School District 11-3,in which the school offered the old high school

Works Committee for their recommendation.
There being no further business,it was regularly moved,seconded and
carried that the meeting adjourn.
