HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDER Regarding Court Procedures in Response to Covid-19JDF 77 5/02 ORDER MUNICIPAL COURT, TOWN OF ESTES PARK, CO LARIMER COUNTY, COLORADO Court Address: 170 MACGREGOR AVENUE, ESTES PARK, CO 80517 (970) 577-4774 COURT USE ONLY : STANDING ORDER REGARDING COURT PROCEDURES IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 COMES NOW, the Honorable David Thrower, Municipal Judge for the Town of Estes Park, makes the following Standing Orders in response to the spread of COVID-19 as follows: 1. Slowing the spread of COVID-19 is of utmost concern for the Town of Estes Park. Therefore, the Town of Estes Park Municipal Court is enacting procedures to reduce the number of individuals who must make a physical appearance in Court. 2. The Estes Park Municipal Court date of May 6, 2020, has been vacated and will be rescheduled to June 3, 2020. If you have a PENALTY ASSESMENT and there is a fine amount listed on your citation, we are giving you the opportunity to pay the ticket ON OR BEFORE the June 3, 2020 date and your points will be reduced if option of reduction applies. No court costs will be added. If for any reason you would like to appear in court please email the Municipal Court Clerk at mmijares@estes.org or call 970-577-4774 to reschedule to the next court date of June 3, 2020, at a time to be entered by the Clerk. If your citation is a MANDATORY SUMMONS, you will need to appear in court or can possibly enter a plea by mail. Please email the Municipal Court Clerk at the email address above or call to either arrange to speak with the Prosecutor or reschedule the court appearance to June 3, 2020, at a time to be set by the Clerk. 3. If you fail to pay or appear, or contact the Municipal Court Clerk to reschedule, normal proceedings of a Show Cause Hearing, a Hold on your Driver’s License, or a Bench Warrant may or will apply.
