RESOLUTION 3-91
WHEREAS,House Bill 1054,1991 colorado Legislative Session,
would increase the limitations on judgements against Colorado
public entities;and
WHEREAS,it is estimated this will result in a large increase
in insurance costs for the Town;and
WHEREAS,the Town is already working to minimize taxes and
maximize services;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO,THAT:
1.We are opposed to House Bill 1054 as originally introduced
because of the enormous fiscal impact it will have on our
municipality.
2.We urge the Colorado State Legislature not to increase the
current limitation on judgements.
