Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION 08-97C0RESOLUTIONNO.8-97BEINGARESOLUTIONESTABLISHINGATELEPHONEEXCHANGEACCESSFACILITYCHARGEFORTHELARIMEREMERGENCYTELEPHONEAUTHORITYEFFECTIVEJANUARY1,1998WHEREAS,theLarimerEmergencyTelephoneAuthoritywasrecreatedpursuantto§29—11-101,etseq.,C.R.S..,byanIntergovernmentalAgreementConcerningtheImplementationofan“E911”EmergencyTelephoneService,datedNovember14,1990,betweencertaingovernmentalentitieslocatedinLarimerCounty,Colorado,andWHEREAS,pursuanttotheaforesaidstatutoryauthorityandbyresolutionoftheTownofEstesParkonMay8,1990,theBoardofTrusteesisauthorizedtoraise,lower,orreestablishatelephoneexchangeaccessfacilitychargetobeassessedtelephoneusersintheTownofEstesPark;andWHEREAS,theTownofEstesParkbyResolutionNo.15—96approvedatelephoneexchangeaccessfacilitychargeoffiftycents($.50)permontheffectiveJanuary1,1997,andcontinuingineffectforoneyear;andWHEREAS,theBoardofTrusteeshasbeenadvisedthatinlightofthecurrentreservesoftheLarimerEmergencyTelephoneAuthoritygeneratedbythevolumeofadditionaltelephonesinLarimerCounty,itisnowappropriatethatthetelephoneexchangeaccessfacilitychargeforthecalendaryear19gBbereducedtoforty—fivecents($.45)permonth;andWHEREAS,theBoardofTrusteesdeemsthatatelephoneexchangeaccessfacilitychargeattherateofforty—fivecents($.45)permonthisnecessaryandappropriatetoadequatelyfundemergencytelephoneservicesintheTownofEstesPark.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO,asfollows:1.CommencingonJanuary1,1998,thetelephoneexchangeaccessfacilitychargeshallbereducedtoforty—fivecents($.45)permonthperexchangeaccessfacility.2.TelephoneservicesuppliersprovidingtelephoneserviceintheTownofEstesParkareauthorizedtocollectthetelephoneexchangeaccessfacilitychargeinaccordancewith§29-11-101,etseq.,C.R.S. 00 00Uponmotiondulymade,secondedandcarried,theforegoingResolutionwasadoptedthis26dayofAugust,1997.ATTEST:1aktaQ&TownClerkTOWNOFByMayorDeputy 00
