0CRESOLUTIONNO.13-02WHEREAS,theTownofEstesPark,Colorado(the“Town”)recognizesthatMotionPicture,Television,andImagingProductionhavethepotentialtobestronggrowthindustrieswithintheStateofColorado;andWHEREAS,businessesandindividualsinEstesParkhavebenefiteddirectlywiththeinfusionofcapitalspentbytheseindustries;andWHEREAS,theColoradoLegislature,recognizingtheimportanceoftheseindustries,establishedtheColoradoFilmCommissionwithintheGovernor’sOfficeofEconomicDevelopmentandInternationalTrade,andhassupportedthisendeavorsinceJuly1,1969;andWHEREAS,theColoradoFilmCommissionhasencouragedtheformationoflocalandregionalFilmCommissionsandCommunityFilmContactsthroughouttheState;andWHEREAS,theColoradoFilmCommissionprovidesformalguidanceandtrainingtotheselocalCommunityFilmContactstocertifythemasprofessionalliaisonofficestoaidintheattractionandsupportofMotionPicture,Television,andImagingProductionintheirrespectiveareas;andWHEREAS,theEstesParkFilmCommissionisseekingrecognitionandsupportfromtheTownofEstesPark.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADOthattheBoardherebyrecognizes,supports,andendorsestheeffortsbytheEstesParkFilmCommissiontoattractMotionPicture,Television,andImagingProductiontoourareaforthepurposesofgeneratingagoodpublicimageandtoservefortheeconomicbettermentofourcommunities.INTRODUCED,READ,ANDPASSEDBYTHEBODOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARKonthis//dayof“-,.Lx,2002.TOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADOMayorATTEST:TownClerk 00
