0.CRESOLUTION#21-05ARESOLUTIONSUPPORTING5EEXPANSIONOFTHEESTESPARKMEDICALCENTERFACILITYWHEREAS,theEstesParkMedicalCenteropenedafifteenbedfacilitytoservetheEstesParkareain1975,andhasbeenanintegralpartofthecommunityfor30years,and;WHEREAS,thecurrentEstesParkMedicalCenterfacihtydoesnotcomplywiththerequirementsoftheAmericanswithDisabilitiesActandtheHealthInsurancePortabilityandAccountabilityAct,and;WHEREASthecurrentfacilitydoesnotmeetcurrentbuildingcodestandards,ortheprofessionalstandardsoftheAmericanCollegeofSurgeonsandtheAssociationofOperatingRoomNurses,and:WHEREAS,theEstesParkMedicalCenterisvitaltothewell-beingofresidentsoftheTownofEstesParkandsurroundingcommunity,and;WHEREAS,theexpansionoftheEstesParkMedicalCenterisnecessarytomeetthegrowingneedsoftheEstesParkarea,and;WHEREAS,theexpansionandupgradingoftheEstesParkMedicalCenterfacilitywillprovideenhancedpatientcareandprivacy,andallowarearesidentstoaccessmoreserviceswithouttravelingoutoftown,and;WHEREAS,ballotquestion5EisnotataxincreaseforresidentsoftheEstesParkMedicalCenterHospitalDistrict,and;WHEREAS,theEstesParkMedicalCenterhasdevelopedasolidbusinessplanforexpansionofservicesandrepaymentoftheproposeddebtthroughoperatingrevenues;NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO:TheBoardofTrusteesherebydeclaretheirfullsupportofballotquestion5EinsupportoftheexpansionoftheEstesParkMedicalCenterfacilityontheNovember1,2005,ballot.INTRODUCED,READ,andADOPTEDthisII“dayofoasca,2005.1 000 o0TOWNOFESTESPARK60ATTEST:t•‘S.t.T*nClerk2 00
