00RESOLUTIONNO.10-06WHEREAS,Chapter2.68oftheMunicipalCodeprovidesfortheappointmentofaTownAdministrator;andWHEREAS,saidChapteralsosetsoutthefunctionsanddutiesoftheTownAdministrator;andWHEREAS,therearetimeswhentheappointedTownAdministratorisunabletocarryoutthefunctionsanddutiesoftheofficeofTownAdministratorduetohis/herabsencefromtheTownduetovacation,illness,conferenceattendance,Townbusinessand/orpersonalmatters;andWHEREAS,itisnecessarytohaveapersonavailabletoperformthefunctionsanddutiesoftheTownAdministratorinsaidabsence;andWHEREAS,theBoardofTrusteeswishtosetforthinthisResolutiontheprocedurebywhichtheTownAdministratormaydesignateanactingTownAdministrator.NOWTHEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARKasfollows:1.TheTownAdministratormayappointapersonasactingTownAdministratorinhis/herabsence.SaidpersonshallbeanemployeeoftheTownofEstesParkandaSupervisororDepartmentHead.2.TheTownAdministratorshallmakesaidappointmentbywrittenmemorandumdesignatingthepersontobeactingTownAdministratorandspecifyingtheperiodoftimeoftheappointmentasactingTownAdministrator.3.TheoriginalmemorandumshallbedepositedwiththeTownClerkwithacopytotheMayorandindividualmembersoftheBoardofTrustees.4.TheBoardofTrusteesmay,ataregularorspecialmeetingoftheBoardofTrustees,revokeorchangetheappointmentoftheactingTownAdministratormadebytheTownAdministratorand/ortheperiodoftimeofsaidappointmentbytheadoptionofanappropriateResolution.5.InnoeventshalltheappointmentofanactingTownAdministratorandforanyactionbytheBoardofTrusteeswithregardtotheappointmentofanactingTownAdministratorchange,modifyoreffectthepermanentappointmentoftheTownAdministrator. 00 006.TheTownAdministratormay,atanytime,terminate,cancelormodifytheappointmentoftheactingTownAdministratorbydeliveringamemoranduminwritingtotheTownClerkwithacopytotheMayorandtheBoardofTrustees.Datedthis133Thayof______________,2006.Mayor 004’.‘
