00RESOLUTION10-10ADOPTINGTHENORTHERNCOLORADOREGIONALHAZARDMITIGATIONPLANWHEREAS,theTownofEstesParkrecognizesthethreatthatnaturalhazardsposetopeopleandpropertywithintheTown;andWHEREAS,undertakinghazardmitigationactionswillmitigatethepotentialforharmtoourcitizensfromfuturemanifestationsofsuchhazards;andWHEREAS,anadoptedHazardMitigationPlan(the‘Plan’)isrequiredasaconditionforfuturefundingformitigationprojectsfrommultipleFederalEmergencyManagementAgency(FEMA)preandpostdisastermitigationprograms;andWHEREAS,theColoradoDivisionofEmergencyManagementandFEMARegionVIIIofficialshavereviewedthePlanandapproveditcontingentuponofficialadoptionbytheparticipatinggovernmentalentitiesand/ormunicipalities;andWHEREAS,thisBoardhasalreadyadoptedthePlanattheAugust24,2010TownBoardMeeting,NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO.1.The2009NorthernColoradoRegionalHazardMitigationPlan,developedbyandforLarimerCounty,thecityofFortCollins,thecityofLovelandandthetownsofWellington,EstesParkandBerthoud,isherebyadoptedasLarimerCounty’sofficialhazardmitigationplan.2.Thecounty,inconjunctionwiththeaforementionedcitiesandtowns,isauthorizedtosubmitthisResolutiontotheColoradoDivisionofEmergencyManagementandFEMARegionVIIIofficialsinfurtheranceoftheirefforttosecurefinalapprovaloftheaforementionedPlan.PASSEDANDADOPTEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARKthisj4thidayofSeptember,2010./J’:’/7—-;4/7/Mayor—•ATTEST:2•-_.4-•—.00—a-—-TvnClerk 00
