RESOLUTION10-20SETTINGELECTIONFORAREFERREDMEASURETHE.SALEOFDANNELSFIRESTATIONWHEREAS,theEstesParkBoardofTrusteesfindsthatithasnopresentgovernmentaluseforacertainpublicbuildingownedbytheTown,locatedat901N.St.VramAvenueandknownastheDannelsFireStationproperty,anddescribedassetforthinExhibitA(the“Property”);andWHEREAS,ColoradoRevisedStatutessection31-15-713(a)authorizestheTowntosellapublicbuildinguponsuchtermsandconditionsasestablishedbytheTownBoardofTrusteesandsubmittedtotheelectorateataregularorspecialelection;andWHEREAS,theBoardofTrusteeshasdetermined,throughtheadoptionofthisResolution,toreferameasuretotheRegularMunicipalElection,April7,2020,forthepurposeofsubmittingtotheelectorsoftheTownofEstesParkaballotquestiononthesaleofthePropertytotheEstesValleyFireProtectionDistrict.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO:1.ThattheTownofEstesParkwillreferaquestiontotheelectoratetosellthePropertyattheRegularMunicipalElectiononTuesday,April7,2020.2.Thefollowingballotquestionshallbeplacedontheballot:ShalltheTownofEstesParkselltheDannelsFireStationforSitotheEstesValleyFireProtectionDistrict?
