RESOLUTION34-19ARESOLUTIONINSUPPORTOFTHELARIMERCOUNTYNOVEMBER5,2019BALLOTISSUE‘IAFORREGIONALTRANSPORTATIONANDPUBLICFACILITYNEEDSWHEREAS,thetotalpopulationofLarimerCountyisprojectedtogrowfromapproximately354,000currentlytoover508,000by2045accordingtothestatedemographer;andWHEREAS,thisgrowthwillplaceadditionalburdensontransportationsystemswithinEstesPark,throughouttheCounty,andonbuildingsandfacilitieswhicharenecessarytoprovidepublicservicestotheresidentsoftheCounty;andWHEREAS,trafficcongestionhasbeenidentifiedbyLarimerCountyresidentsandbusinessesasoneofthemostpressingconcernstoaddresswithintheCounty;andWHEREAS,theTownofEstesParkbelievesthatimprovementstoEstesParkandotherregionaltransportationinfrastructureprovidebothdirectandindirectbenefitstotheresidentsofEstesPark;andWHEREAS,theCountyservestheneedsoftheentireLarimerCountycommunity,includingresidentsofEstesPark,byprovidinghumanandeconomichealthservices,publicsafetyfunctionsandassistancetoveterans;andWHEREAS,theCounty’sexistingpublicbuildingsandfacilitiesareinadequatetoservethegrowingneedsfortheseservices.NOWTHEREFOREBEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO:thattheTownofEstesParksupportstheLarimerCountyNovember5,2019BallotIssue1AforRegionalTransportationandPublicFacilityNeeds.DATEDthis’!dayof..2019.NOTESPARKATTEST:TqClerk
