RESOLUTION22-19ARESOLUTIONAUTHORIZINGTHETOWNOFESTESPARKBOARDOFTRUSTEESTOAPPROVEANAPPLICATIONFORGRANTFUNDINGTOTHECOLORADOPARKSANDWILDLIFECOLORADOTHEBEAUTIFULCOLORADOSTATETRAILSPROGRAMFORCONSTRUCTIONOFTHEFALLRIVERTRAILPROJECT.WHEREAS,potentialfundingisavailablethroughagrantprogramadministeredbyColoradoParkandWildlife;andWHEREAS,theTownofEstesPark(Town)willbeconstructingtheFaIlRiverTrailstartingin2019;andWHEREAS,theTownissupportingtherequired30percentcostshare;andWHEREAS,thegrantfundingwillbeusedfortheconstructionoftheFallRiverTrailtoprovideresidentsandvisitorswithbetteraccessbetweenhistoricdowntownEstesParkandRockyMountainNationalPark(RMNP)andpointsinbetween;andWHEREAS,theFallRiverTrailwillbeownedandmaintainedbytheTownofEstesParkforatleast25years;andWHEREAS,itisinthebestinterestoftheTowntosubmitthisgrantapplicationfortheFallRiverTrailprojectasotherfundingsourcesarependingoryettobeidentified.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO:1.TheTownofEstesParkBoardofTrusteesherebyapprovesthesubmissionofagrantapplicationtoColoradoParksandWildlifefortheColoradotheBeautifulprogram.2.TheTownwillmaintaintheFallRiverTrailinahigh-qualityconditionandtheTownBoardwillappropriatefundsformaintenanceinitsannualbudget.3.Ifthegrantisawarded,theTownBoardherebyauthorizestheMayortosignthegrantagreementwithCPW. 4.Theresolutiontobeinfullforceandeffectfromandafteritspassageandapproval.DATEDthisa9TRdayofTucLl2019.TOWNOFESTESPARKMayorATTEST:Townrk
