Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION 33-1700RESOLUTIONNO.33-17ARESOLUTIONOFTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESFORTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO,DIRECTINGTHETOWNCLERKTOCONDUCTTHEREGULARMUNICIPALELECTION,SCHEDULEDFORAPRIL3,2018,ASAMAILBALLOTELECTIONANDAUTHORIZINGTHETOWNCLERKTOAPPOINTELECTIONJUDGESWHEREAS,bytheStatutesoftheStateofColorado,the3’dayofApril,2018isfixedasthetimeforaregularmunicipalelectiontoelectthreeTrustees.WHEREAS,itisthedutyoftheBoardofTrusteestoprovidefortheholdingofsuchanelection;andWHEREAS,itisthedecisionoftheTownBoardbytheadoptionofthisResolutiontoholdtheRegularMunicipalelectionofApril3,2018bymailballotpursuanttotheprovisionsofSection31-10-907—31-10-913C.R.S.;andWHEREAS,Section31-10-401,C.R.S.,1973,allowstheBoardofTrusteestodelegatetotheTownClerk,byResolution,theauthorityandresponsibilitytoappointtheJudgesofElection.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO:1.ThatpursuanttotheprovisionsofSections31-10-907—31-10-913C.R.S.theMunicipalElectionofApril3,2018shallbeamailballotelection.2.ThatJackieWilliamson,TownClerkbeandisherebyappointedastheDesignatedElectionOfficialfortheTownofEstesParkfortheconductofthismailballotelection. 003.Thereshallbeone(1)precinctforthismailballotelection.ThemailballotlocationforsaidprecinctshallbetheEstesParkTownHall,170MacGregorAvenue,EstesPark,Colorado80517.4.Tobeeligibletovoteinthisregularmailballotelection,apersonmustbeatleasteighteen(18)yearsofage,aresidentofthetown,andhasresidedintheStateofColoradofortwenty-two(22)daysimmediatelyprecedingtheelectionpursuanttoC.R.S.§31-10-201(b).5.PursuanttoC.R.S.§31-i0-401,theDesignatedElectionOfficialisherebydelegatedtheauthorityandresponsibilitytoappointjudgesoftheelectionatleastfifteen(15)daysbeforetheElectionDay.6.TheJudgesofElectionshallreceivefortheirservicesthesumofSi0perhour.7.TheDesignatedElectionOfficialshallestablishtheformoftheregularmailelectionballot.DATEDthis______dayof12C2*I1Ak2L4L2017.TOWNOFESTESPARKMayorATTEST:Clerk
