ORDINANCE NO.29-07
WHEREAS,on November 20,2007,an Initiated Ordinance Petition was filedwiththeTownClerk;and
WHEREAS,on December 5,2007,the Town Clerk issued a Statement ofSufficiencytotheTownBoardstatingthattheInitiatedOrdinancePetitionhastherequisitenumberofsignatures;and
WHEREAS,the Board of Trustees have reviewed the Initiated OrdinancePetition.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO,as follows:
Section 1:The Estes Park Municipal Code shall be amended by the additionofSection17.44.090,to read:
Before any sale of any property owned by the Town of Estes Park within theStanleyHistoricDistrict,the question of such sale and the terms andconsiderationthereofshallbesubmittedandapprovedataregularor specialelection.
Section 2:This Ordinance shall take effect and be enforced thirty (30)daysafteritsadoptionandpublication.
On December 11,2007,The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado did not pass the ordinance,and by state statute 31 -11-104 have referredtheinitiatedordinancetotheregisteredelectorsattheregularlyspheduledmunicipalelectiononApril1,2008.
