HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION 40-26RESOLUTION 40-26 SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS #1 TO THE 2026 BUDGET WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park adopted the 2026 annual budget in accordance with the Local Government Budget Law on November 12, 2025;and WHEREAS, the Town of Estes Park's accounting system incorporates a purchase order system that encumbers the budget appropriation when commitments for the purchase of goods or services are made; and WHEREAS, encumbrances that were not liquidated in the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025 are to be re-appropriated in the next fiscal year; and WHEREAS, appropriations for certain projects underway that have not been encumbered with a purchase order are to be rolled over to facilitate completion of these projects; and WHEREAS, it is not only required by law, but also necessary to appropriate the revenues provided in the budget to and for the purposes described below, so as not to impair the operations of the Town of Estes Park. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO: That the appropriations for 2026 be increased by $46,050,743 for the funds specified below and these amounts are hereby appropriated from additional revenue or available fund balance of each fund.
