GRANTING THE TOWN ADMINISTRATOR SIGNATURE AUTHORITY FOR AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2026 CLOSED
LANDFILL REMEDIATION GRANT PROGRAM (CYCLE #2) FOR REMEDIATION OF
THE ESTES PARK CLOSED LANDFILL
WHEREAS, the Town Board desires to enter the intergovernmental agreement
referenced in the title of this resolution for the purpose of accepting funds from the
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for the Fiscal Year 2026 Closed
Landfill Remediation Grant Program (Cycle #2) to support the remediation of the Estes
Park Closed Landfill; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board commits to public safety, health and the
environment. Estes Park is a safe place to live, work and visit within the extraordinary
environment as described in the 2026 Strategic Plan; and
WHEREAS, approval of the intergovernmental agreement is time sensitive, but
the agreement is not yet in its final form for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO:
The Board delegates to the Town Administrator the authority to approve and sign
an intergovernmental agreement as referenced in the title of this resolution, as
approved by the Town Attorney as to legal form.
