Dear Mr. & Mrs. Poppitz
On November 12, 2024, an Initiated Ordinance Petition first printer's proof was delivered to the
Town Clerk' s Office. Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute (CRS) Section 31-11-106 CRS, as
Town Clerk for the Town of Estes Park, I have reviewed the first printer's proof of the petition
submitted and have determined the petition meets the requirements. See the attached
certification.
Pursuant to Section 31-11-104(1) CRS, you may proceed with collecting signatures from 5% of
the registered electors within town limits as determined on the day the petition is approved.
Larimer County Elections confirmed the current registered voters within the Town of Estes Park
is 4921; therefore, the required number of signatures is 246. The required signatures must be
submitted within 180 days of this letter to the Town Clerk.
Please note all petition sections submitted to the Town Clerk must contained a notarized
affidavit affixed in a manner ensuring the two documents have not been disassembled during or
after circulation. The proof demonstrated the document would be bound with cardstock
attached to the back of the petition sections and stapled in two locations along the top of the
document, staple in each corner.
