Staff has determined scooter rentals are similar to Automobile rentals, and are allowed in the "A", "CO", and "CH" districts. This use is further limited in the "A" district, where it is allowed only in conjunction with a hotel or motel use. REVIEW CRITERIA: In accordance with Section 3.12.C, the following considerations shall be used to determine what classification a use is in and whether it is appropriate to allow such use as a principal use in the applicable zoning district: 1. The actual or projected characteristics of the subject use compared to the stated characteristics of each use classification allowed in the zoning district; Staff Comment: The use characteristics are similar to automobile rentals. 2. The relative amount of site area or floor space and equipment devoted to the use; Staff Comment: The required floor area is very small, just an office. 3. Relative amounts of sales from the subject use compared to other permitted uses; Staff Comment: None. 4. The location will be used as a rental facility for twelve 50cc Honda Metropolitans, and three 250cc Honda Big Ruckus. The 15 Scooters will be available to rent by the hour, day, or mulit-days. Our hours of operation are 9am-7pm, 7 days a week between the months ofMay and September.
