WHEREAS, the Great Estes Park Duck Race is a cherished
community service project of The Rotary Club ofEstes Park; and
WHEREAS, this annual event provides non-profit organizations and
community groups with an opportunity to raise funds through the
adoption of ducks; and
WHEREAS, the generous support of local sponsors ensures fabulous
prizes and enables 95% of the funds raised to be returned to
participating organizations; and
WHEREAS, on Saturday, May 3, 2025, the 37th annual Great Estes Park
Duck Race will take place, with nearly 12,000 rubber ducks released into
the Big Thompson River near Riverside Plaza and race towards the finish
line at the Estes Park Visitor Center; and
WHEREAS, the festival will feature hundreds of prizes, live entertainment,
and family friendly activities for all to enjoy; and
WHEREAS, the Great Estes Park Duck Race, presented by The Rotary Club of
Estes Park is the largest general charitable fundraiser in the Estes Valley,
annually generating over $200,000 to support charities and organizations that
benefit local residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Town ofEstes Park do hereby proclaim Saturday, May 3,2025, as
THE GREAT ESTES PARK DUCK RACE
