These notes cover Metal Roofing Panels, Wall Panels, Underlayment, Accessories, Flashing, Sheet Metal, Gutters and Downspouts. 2. Manufacturer: FlatIron Steel or approved substitute. FlatIron Steel "Snap Lock Installation Guide" and "7/8" Corrugated Installation Guide" are included as requirements and references herein. 3. Proper installation shall include selection of screws per the Installation Guides and determination of spacing in both directions as directed by the Manufacturer based on imposed wind loads. All screws shall be gasketed and properly driven to assure optimum seal and strength. 4. SnapLock panels at sloping roofs shall be installed over a continuous layer of high-temperature Grace Ice&Water Shield underlayment. Installation shall include all foam closure strips, caulking, mastic sealant, butyl tape and other accessories as illustrated in the Manufacturer's Installation Guides. 5. Quality Control: Manufacturer shall have at least 10 years experience in fabrication of pre-finished sheet metal products. Contractor shall have at least 2 years experience applying these types of material with successful completion of projects of similar scope using the same manufacturer's products. 6. Submittals: Submit to the Architect, 2 complete sets (or PDF files) of product information, sample warranty, profile and any other drawings necessary to installation, material and color samples. Certification shall be submitted based on independent testing laboratory indicating no measurable water penetration or air leakage through the system tested in accordance with ASTM E-1680-95 and ASTM E-1646-95. 7. Warranties: 20-year finish guarantee from the manufacturer; 5-year watertightness guarantee 8. Underlayment: Grace High-Temperature Ice and Water Shield over all sloped surfaces surfaces - not required on vertical wall surfaces 9. Roofing accessories include galvanized steel fasteners and washers, sealants and vinyl wheatherseal inserts 10. All Flashing, gutters and downspouts shall match finish of roofing panels. Hem all exposed edges of flashing on underside min ½". 11. Snow Guards: Aluminum strap, hood and gasket - Kynar 500 finish - (2) mechanical fasteners each - locations per drawings - Mfgr: Ice Blox, Alpine Snow Guards, Sno-Gem or approved substitute 12. Execution: Comply with mfgr specifications for application and attachment. Conform to standards set forth by SMACNA in the Architectural Sheet Metal Manual. Verify that decking (existing and new) is suitable for installation, clean, free of depressions or projections - notify Architect of any issues. Verify that roof openings, curbs, pipes, sleeves and vents are complete and solidly set. 13. Cleaning: Only minor scratches will be allowed to be touched up. Any other damaged material shall be replaced. Clean any grease, finger marks, or stains from the panels per mfgr recommendations. Remove all strippable film, scraps and debris from construction site.
