This memo is written to approve the use of 5-2x8 in place of 8x8 posts in
the crawlspace. In addition, the plans called for 4-2x4 in the laundry room for
support of the new 4-9 ½” LVL beam and a 5-2x8 studpack was installed which
is acceptable. No straps are required around the studpacks as the nailing of the
plies together is sufficient.
