A representative of DCP has observed portions of the residence for the above referenced address. It is
our understanding the owner wishes to combine several openings in the main living space. For the listed
address the design criteria are as follows:
Applicable Building Codes: 2015 International Residential Code
Ground Snow Load: 70 psf
Design Wind Load: 175 mph, ultimate
For a maximum span of 14’-0” a (3) 1¾” x 11-7/8” LVL header should be used. A minimum of two (2)
trim stud and four (4) king studs should be installed at each end. Squash blocking should be installed in
the crawl space beneath each new stud pack. See the attached detail for clarification. If you have any
