Attachments to the roof are to be spaced no more than 4’ O.C. Using the assumed engineering loads, we have determined that the design strength of all connections in the solar racking system will be sufficient for this application. The structural supporting members for the roof are 2x6” rafters 24” O.C. The roof framing has been evaluated using the IEBC section 806.2. Since the solar array will weigh less than 3psf, it will not add more than 5% of existing gravity loads and therefore is permitted under this section of code. We do not assume responsibility for any constru ction flaws that currently exist or caused by other work trades. Sincerely, Anthony P. Boniface, PE Reviewed by SAFEbuilt 05/11/2021
