Dear Sir or Madam,
We have evaluated the solar racking and connections to the roof for the photovoltaic array to be installed using
the engineering design factors below.
ultimate wind speed V = 175 mph
wind exposure category = C
ground snow load = 66psf
The PV system shall will be flush mounted with no overhang. Attachments to the roof are to be spaced no more
than 4’ O.C. Using the assumed engineering loads, we have determined that the design strength of all
connections in the solar racking system will be sufficient for this application.
The structural supporting members for the roof are 2x4” trusses 24” O.C. The roof framing has been determined
to be adequate for the required loads.
We do not assume responsibility for any construction flaws that currently exist, or caused by other work trades.
