See Permit # 20-EP-00534 The work illustrated on these plans is the first of not less than two phases to finish the previously unfinished lower level of the house. In this first phase of finishing, the remainder of lower level slabs-on-grade are to be poured. An existing lower level interior wall is to be removed (relocated). A new wall is to be constructed near the east end of the Lower Level to separate a future Recreation Room from a new Workshop. Per comments from the Building Inspector near the end of the completion of the original construction, the Workshop is now illustrated to be separated from the remainder of the house by means similar to that of an attached garage. The ceiling of the Workshop is to be sheathed with ⅝" typeX gypsum board. Fully sheathed walls separate the Workshop from other lower level spaces, and a self- closing, insulated metal door is installed within that wall. A new (previously purchased) overhead door is to be installed within a pre-framed opening on the east wall of the Workshop. The work of the Contractor shall include new waste plumbing below and through the new slab areas at the locations illustrated on Sheet A2. Details of the plumbing are design-build by the Plumbing Contractor. Similarly, there is one new in-slab electrical outlet location - see Sheet A3. Details of electrical work are design-build by the Electrical Contractor. This project does not entail mechanical work - except for the removal of at least one existing grille location within the proposed Workshop. See note on the Demolition Plan this sheet. This project does not increase floor area or building height. This project does not impact any structural elements. This project does not affect the construction/ insulation of existing exterior walls. The number of "future" plumbing fixtures is slightly adjusted from the 2020 drawings - See "Proposed Plumbing Fixtures" in the Permit Information to the right.
