LAP SHEATHING OVER RIM JOISTS A MINIMUM OF 4" AT ALL FLOORS TO TIE UPPER AND LOWER WALL STUDS TOGETHER. INSTALL METAL STRAPS AS INDICATED ON THE BRACED WALL DRAWINGS. 30. MINIMUM HEIGHT OF SHEATHING PANELS TO BE 16" TO ENSURE THAT PLATES ARE TIED TO STUDS. 31. MAKE PROVISIONS FOR ERECTION LOADS, AND FOR SUFFICIENT TEMPORARY BRACING TO MAINTAIN STRUCTURE SAFE, PLUMB, AND IN TRUE ALIGNMENT UNTIL COMPLETION OF ERECTION AND INSTALLATION OF PERMANENT BRACING. 32.
