Scope of work: In basement bathroom, replace the existing soaker tub with a pre-fabricated shower base The base
size will be 30" x 60" x 2", the drain position will remain LH.
not built on site. We will remove part of the wall cladding on the wet wall to replace the shower valve with a Lahara
valve and trim and replace the wallboard with Hardie board and corrosive resistant connections as per your local
jurisdictional requirements.
If the wet wall is an outside wall, we will replace the insulation in the wall according to 2021 IECC R503.1.1
exception 2. We will install a 5 foot TEMPERED glass door shower enclosure for the entrance into the shower space.
We will then wrap all three shower walls with impervious, acrylic wall sheets. The rest of the bathroom shall remain
"as is". No other contractor will be involved in our installation.

No electrical (already existing)
CO detectors and SD's shall be in their proper places and in working order at the final inspection.
WE WILL DEMO UP TO 32sft so as not to be required to test for asbestos.

Glazing in walls containing or facing hot tubs, spas, bathtubs,
showers, indoor or outdoor pools where the bottom exposed
edge of glazing is less than 60" vertically above any standing or
walking surface - shall be safety glazing (R308.4.5)
Showers shall be finished 72 inches above the floor
with a non-absorbent material. Shower door minimum
clear opening width is 24 inches and open outward
Follow Manufacturer's installation
instructions:
Manufacturer's installation instructions,
as required by code, shall be available
on the job site at the time of inspection.
