We will remove part of the wall cladding on the wet wall to replace the shower valve with a Lahara valve and trim and replace the wallboard with Hardie board and corrosive resistant connections as per your local jurisdictional requirements. If the wet wall is an outside wall, we will replace the insulation in the wall according to 2021 IECC R503.1.1 exception 2. We will install a 5 foot TEMPERED glass door shower enclosure for the entrance into the shower space. We will then wrap all three shower walls with impervious, acrylic wall sheets. The rest of the bathroom shall remain "as is". No other contractor will be involved in our installation. No framing (already existing) No mechanical ( already existing) No electrical (already existing) CO detectors and SD's shall be in their proper places and in working order at the final inspection. Exterior walls adjacent to showers and tubs shall provide air barrier & insulated. Provide Anti-Scald Valve on tub/shower Cement based substrate or equal on shower/tub walls The entire building must be provided with Smoke Detectors located as required by code. CO Detectors are Required wihtin 15 ft. of ALL Bedrooms Freeze Protect pipes per P2603.5 See 410.10 (D) for new requirements for where and what type of fixtures can be installed in areas containing bathtubs/showers All work shall be performed by Licensed Contractors OR work shall be performed by the homeowner residing in the dwelling. Shower door minimum clear opening width is 24 inches and open outward Follow Manufacturer's installation instructions: Manufacturer's installation instructions, as required by code, shall be available on the job site at the time of inspection.
